The Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee and North Carolina is one of the most popular parks to visit. With miles of trails to explore, waterfalls and streams galore and many mountains to climb, it has something to offer everyone. For me, the trees and forests in early Spring and late Fall are most special and easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway is also a welcome bonus.
